Our History
Lingua Africa began as a grassroots initiative in 2020. Motivated by a desire to share, protect, and invigorate Africa’s extraordinary linguistic landscape, the founders united to build a network dedicated to language advocacy.
Over the years, we have grown into a diverse team — educators, linguists, technologists, and volunteers united by a passion for cultural and linguistic preservation. Our work spans local communities and global digital platforms.
Today, Lingua Africa is a reference point for language activism, diverse partnerships, and innovative educational resources supporting Africa’s vast linguistic heritage. Our journey continues with every speaker, every story, and every shared word.
